Clarke, William Edward Wesley

Born 8^th September 1889 Smeaton Victoria the son of James Edward and Minnie Ann Clarke (nee Whatmore) he married Lucy Hannah Warren 1915 at Mole Creek a 26 year old farmer who embarked Melbourne 24^th November 1915 on board RMS Orontes with the 12^th Infantry Battalion.

He was serving with the 2^nd Tunnelling Company when he was killed in action 14^th August 1916 and is commemorated in the Anzac Cemetery  Sailly-Sur-La-Lys, France.
