Claxton Herbert Charles Noel

Enlisted as Herbert Charles Noel Claxton

Born 1893 Launceston Tasmania the son of Edward and Clarissa Louisa Lodge (nee Bunkell) a farm labourer he enlisted and embarked Melbourne 25^th June 1917 on board “HMAT Ceramic” with the 19^th Infantry Battalion.

He was serving with the 8th Brigade Australian Field Artillery when he was killed in action 25^th September 1917 in Belgium and is commemorated in the The Huts Cemetery, Ypres, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium
