Claxton Herbert Charles Noel
Enlisted as Herbert Charles Noel Claxton Born 1893 Launceston Tasmania the son of Edward and Clarissa Louisa Lodge (nee Bunkell) a farm labourer he enlisted and embarked Melbourne 25th June 1917 on board “HMAT Ceramic” with the 19th Infantry Battalion.
He was serving with the 8th Brigade Australian Field Artillery when he was killed in action 25th September 1917 in Belgium and is commemorated in the The Huts Cemetery, Ypres, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium
