Clennett, Harold Guy

Born 12th September 1892 Port Esperance Tasmania the son of William Longstaff and Elizabeth Hannah Clennett (nee Hoskins) an orchardist he embarked Melbourne 27th September 1915 on board “HMAT Hororata” with the 26th Battalion.

 

He was killed in action 4th August 1916 at Pozieres France and like others with no known grave is commemorated on the  Villers-Bretonneux Memorial, Villers-Bretonneux, Villers-Bretonneux Area, France

CLENNETT. -Killed in action in France on August 5, 1916 (previously reported missing) Lance-Corporal Harold Guy, fourth beloved son of W. L. and E. H. Clennett, Stanmore, Port Esperance, aged 23 years.
