Coffey William John

Born 1892 Stanley Tasmania the son of Alexander John and Mary Ann Coffey (nee Williams) a farm labourer he embarked Melbourne 25^th October 1916 on board “HMAT Ulysses” with the 12^th Infantry Battalion.

He died 25^th April 1918 at the 1^st Canadian General Hospital from shell wounds to the right leg and abdomen. He is commemorated in the  Etaples Military Cemetery, Etaples, Nord Pas de Calais, France
