Coffey William John

 

Born 1892 Stanley Tasmania the son of Alexander John and Mary Ann Coffey (nee Williams) a farm labourer he embarked Melbourne 25th October 1916 on board “HMAT Ulysses” with the 12th Infantry Battalion.

 

He died 25th April 1918 at the 1st Canadian General Hospital from shell wounds to the right leg and abdomen. He is commemorated in the  Etaples Military Cemetery, Etaples, Nord Pas de Calais, France
