COMMANE, MICHAEL HAROLD
Informal portrait of 3636 Private Michael Harold Commane, 26th Battalion. A labourer of Hobart, Tas, he enlisted on 20 September 1915 and sailed with the 8th Reinforcements aboard HMAT Afric on 5 January 1916. He was killed in action, aged 23, on 5 November 1916. He is commemorated on the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial, France
