Conway, William John Montague

Born 23^rd August 1898 Perth Tasmania the son of John and Laura Emilie Conway (nee Tilley) and married to Lilian Eileen Hardstaff, a station master he embarked Melbourne 10^th September 1915 on board SS Makarini with the 12^th Infantry Battalion

He was killed in action 25^th July 1916 in France and is commemorated in the Pozieres British Cemetery Ovillers-La Boisselle, Pozieres, Pozieres Area, France.

Sadly his widow was left with three children under five and a new baby who was never seen by his father.
