Cook, Clarence
Studio portrait of C Cook probably 4297 Private (Pte) Clarence Cook, 12th Battalion. A labourer from Swansea, Tas prior to enlistment, Pte Cook embarked with the 13th Reinforcements from Melbourne on HMAT Afric on 5 January 1916. Later transferring to the 52nd Battalion, he was wounded in action and, on 8 September 1916, he succumbed to his wounds and was buried in the Puchevillers British Cemetery, France.
