COOK, JOHN. MC
Born 16th October 1892 Hobart the son of John Valentine and Clara Cook (nee Hodgson) a 24 year old electrical engineer he embarked with the 12th Battalion was transferred to Malta from Gallipoli suffering concussion. Was discharged 21st January 1916 and enlisted in the 11th Battalion Queens Royal West Surrey Regiment with the rank of Lieutenant. He was killed in action 1st October 1918 and is commemorated in the Zantvoorde British Cemetery.
