Coote Norman Isaac

 

 

Born 10th Jun 1888 Launceston Tasmania the son of Arthur Isaac and Eliza Coote (nee Price) married to Annie Maude Easterbrook a sleeper hewer he embarked Fremantle 28th October 1916 on board “HMAT Port Melbourne with the 32nd Infantry Bttalion.

 

Enlisted in the A.I.F. in Collie Western Australia in May 1916 and left for England October 1916 completed his training there and went to France.  He took part in the historic battles of Ypres and Passchaendale Ridge.  On the eventful 12th October he was killed.  He was 28 years of age and leaves a wife and three children.

 

He is commemorated on the Menin Gate Memorial, Ypres, West-Vlaanderen, Flanders, Belgium
