Corkery, William John

Born Ringarooma Tasmania the son of D Corkery of Lynda Valley, a miner who departed Melbourne 19^th February 1915 on board “HMAT Runic” with the 3^rd. Field Artillery Brigade.

He was killed in action 18^th September 1918 and is commemorated in the Tincourt New British Cemetery, France.

His brother Lance Corporal Daniel Frederick Corkery was also killed on active service
