Corkery, William John
Born Ringarooma Tasmania the son of D Corkery of Lynda Valley, a miner who departed Melbourne 19th February 1915 on board “HMAT Runic” with the 3rd. Field Artillery Brigade. He was killed in action 18th September 1918 and is commemorated in the Tincourt New British Cemetery, France. His brother Lance Corporal Daniel Frederick Corkery was also killed on active service
