Corrigan, Leslie James

266 Private Leslie James CORRIGAN

 

 

Born 26th February 1876 Colebrook Tasmania to Frederick Thomas and Frances Mary Corrigan (nee Luttrell) a farmer he embarked Newcastle 21st December 1914 on board “HMAT Boonah” with the 3rd Light Horse Regiment.  He had served in the Boer War with the 2nd Australian Imperial Bushmen.

 He saw service in Gallipoli and died 24th October 1918 in the 34th Casualty Clearing Hospital in Palestine of malaria and was buried in the Jerusalem War Cemetery, Israel.
