CRAGG, WILLIAM LESLIE
Studio portrait of 3932 Private (Pte) William Leslie Cragg, 12th Battalion, later 1st Australian Pioneer Battalion, of Hobart, Tas. A painter prior to enlistment he embarked from Melbourne, Vic with the 12th Reinforcements aboard RMS Orontes on 24 November 1915. Pte Cragg was wounded on 20 May and died on the morning of the 1 June 1916; he was 21 years of age. He is buried at the Etaples Military Cemetery, France
