Crane, Wilfred John

Born 8^th October 1891 Hobart Tasmania to George Alfred and Mary Crane (nee Burchett) and married to Amelia Jane Ayers a tinsmith who embarked Hobart 20^th October 1914 on board “HMAT Geelong” with the 12^th Infantry Battalion.

A board of enquiry found Lance Corporal Crane was killed in action 25^th April 1915 on the Gallipoli Peninsula and is commemorated on the Lone Pine Memorial, Gallipoli, Turkey.
