Crane, John Thornhill

Born Launceston the son of Thomas and Ann Crane a 23 year old clerk living in New South Wales he embarked Sydney 16^th June 1915 on board “HMAT Karoola with the 3^rd Battalion.

He was killed in action 12^th August 1915 on the Gallipoli Peninsular and is commemorated on The Lone Pine Memorial (Panel 19), Gallipoli, Turkey
