Crompton, James

 

Born 30th December 1890 Launceston Tasmania to James and Annie Crompton (nee McClutchey) a blacksmith who departed Melbourne 17th September 1914 on board “HMAT Geelong” with the 12th Infantry Battalion

 He died 29th July 1918 from wounds received on the field and is buried in the Franvillers Communal Cemetery Extension, France.
