Curtis, Michael Eric

Born 1896 Hobart Tasmania the son of Harry and Maria Curtis (nee Goram) a horse driver he embarked Melbourne 4^th August 1917 on board “HMAT Themistocles” with the 12^th Infantry Battalion.

He was serving with the 40^th Battalion when he died 24^th August 1918 at the 41^st Casualty Clearing Station in France from shell wounds to the back and was buried in the Daours Communal Cemetery Extension, Daours, Somme, France.
