Dadson, Harry Jack

 

 

 

Born Evandale Tasmania the son of Charles Dadson and a blacksmith who departed Sydney 31st March 1916 on board “HMAT Star of Victoria” with the 8th Field Company Engineers 

Died 4th October 1916 of shell wounds to the chest, both legs and left shoulder received in action at Armentieres and was buried in the Cite Bonjean Military Cemetery,

The many friends of Sapper H.J. Dadson will regret to hear of his death in France from wounds. Harry was a general favourite and had only been away from Australia seven months when be paid the big price.
