Daley Richard

Aka Sydney Montgomery Daley

Born 7^th September 1884 the son of David and Eliza Daley (nee Bezzant) married to Beatrice Elsie Kromer a 31 year old butcher decided to enlist but was rejected here on medical grounds. He married in 1916 and then they travelled to Melbourne where he successfully enlisted. A couple of days after landing in France he was overcome with an asthma attack (possibly gas attack) and was evacuated to England where he died 11^th December 1916.

He was buried in the Durrington Cemetery Wiltshire.
