Davern Thomas Cole

Born 4^th December 1892 Swansea Tasmania the son of Thomas and Tryphena Davern (nee Cole) he enlisted New Zealand with the 1st Battalion Canterbury Regiment and embarked 14^th August 1915 bound for Gallipoli. After serving in Gallipoli he was sent to the Western Front where he was killed in action 27^th September 1916 in France.

He is commemorated in the Caterpillar Valley (New Zealand) Memorial, France.
