Davern Thomas Cole
Born 4th December 1892 Swansea Tasmania the son of Thomas and Tryphena Davern (nee Cole) he enlisted New Zealand with the 1st Battalion Canterbury Regiment and embarked 14th August 1915 bound for Gallipoli. After serving in Gallipoli he was sent to the Western Front where he was killed in action 27th September 1916 in France.
He is commemorated in the Caterpillar Valley (New Zealand) Memorial, France.
