Davie, Gordon Raymond

Born 1897 Bothwell Tasmania to Walter George and Mary Ann Alice Davie (nee Smith), a shop assistant who embarked Melbourne 21^st October 1916 on board “HMAT Port Melbourne” with the 40^th Infantry Battalion.

He was serving with the 12^th Battalion when he was killed in action 6^th October 1917 in Belgium and is commemorated on the Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial, Belgium.
