Alderman A. C. Davis received advice yesterday that his brother Corporal Jesse Davis died of pneumonia in the military hospital at Monte Video on November 13. Prior to enlisting over four years ago, Corporal Davis was a member of the Accountancy staff of Charles Davis Ltd. He took part in the landing at Gallipoli and numerous extracts from his letters have been published in ''The Mercury."
