Densley Benjamin
Born 27th October 1888 Avoca Tasmania to Benjamin and Rose Ann Densley (nee Bailey) a labourer who enlisted and departed Melbourne 19th October 1914 on board “HMAT Wiltshire” with the 2nd Field Ambulance. He died 17th June 1915 from a gunshot wound which penetrated the head at sea on board hospital ship “Gascon” from wounds received on the Gallipoli Peninsula and was buried at sea. He is commemorated on the Lone Pine Memorial, Gallipoli, Turkey.
