Dickens, Charles Mathew
Born 23rd September 1892 Hobart Tasmania to Michael and Emily Theresa Dickens (nee Williams) a carter who departed Melbourne 28th October 1915 on board “SS Hawkes Bay” with the 3rd Light Horse Regiment. He was a driver with the 10th Brigade Australian Field Artillery when he was wounded in the field at Ypres and died 20th September 1917. He is commemorated in the Menin Road South Military Cemetery, Belgium. He died 20th September 1917 from wounds received in the field at Ypres and is commemorated on the Menin Road South Military Cemetery, Belgium.
