Dilger, Albert William

 

 

 

 

 

Born 8th June 1888 Swansea Tasmania the son of William Christian and Mary Elizabeth Dilger (nee Skeggs) a Government Overseer he embarked Adelaide 24th June 1915 on board “HMAT Kanowna” with the 12th Infantry Battalion.

                                                

Lance Corporal Dilger was killed in action 31st May 1918 in France and is commemorated in the Borre British Cemetery, Hazebrouck, Nord Pas de Calais, France

 

His brother Pte Harry Dilger (No 366) was killed in action 31st January 1917 and is commemorated in the Cite Bonjean Military Cemetery, Armentieres, Lille, Nord Pas de Calais, France
