Dillon, James

 

Born 24th April 1896 Launceston Tasmania to John and Clara Dillon (nee Taylor) a farmer who embarked Hobart 1st July 1916 on board “HMAT Berrima” with the 40th Infantry Battalion. 

He was serving with the 51st Battalion when on the 24th April 1918 he was mortally wounded and died 4th May 1918 from his wounds and was buried in the Crouy British Cemetery, Crouy-Sur-Somme, France
