Dillon, James

Born 24^th April 1896 Launceston Tasmania to John and Clara Dillon (nee Taylor) a farmer who embarked Hobart 1^st July 1916 on board “HMAT Berrima” with the 40^th Infantry Battalion.

He was serving with the 51^st Battalion when on the 24^th April 1918 he was mortally wounded and died 4^th May 1918 from his wounds and was buried in the Crouy British Cemetery, Crouy-Sur-Somme, France
