DIXON, FRANK ROUSELL

 

Mrs. F. R. Dixon, of 102 Swanston Street, New Town, has been officially informed that her husband Private Frank Rousell Dixon was killed in action in France on the 18th of September. He enlisted from New Norfolk in February, 1917, and left Tasmania for Victoria with the 8th Trench Mortar Battery in May of the same year. After being for some time in camp there, this unit was broken up, and he, with many others, returned to Tasmania for re-enlistment in the Infantry, eventually leaving Tasmania with the 27th reinforcement of the 12th' Battalion in February last. Mrs. Dixon has two sons on active service.

DIXON.-Killed in action in France, on the 18th September, 1918, Private Frank Rousell Dixon, 12th Battalion, A.I.F. fourth beloved son of the late Graham and Mary Dixon, of Scottsdale Now Norfolk, and loved husband of Lilian L. Dixon, Swanston-Street, New Town in the 53rd year of his age. He nobly did his duty tor King and Country.
