Dornauf Angus

Born Lilydale Tasmania the son of Peter and Jane Sophia Dornauf (nee Shore) a labourer he enlisted South Australia and embarked Adelaide 7^th February 1916 on board “HMAT Miltiades” with the 32^nd Infantry Battalion.

He was killed in action 28^th September 1917 when he was hit by pieces of shell at Polygon Wood and is commemorated on the Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial, Belgium.
