DOYLE, JAMES EDWARD
Born Longford the son of John Doyle a 21 year old labourer he served with the 12th Battalion. He died 2nd March 1916 in Egypt from pneumonia and was buried in the Cairo War Memorial Cemetery BEULAH SOLDIER'S DEATH Miss K. Doyle, of Beulah has received the sad news of the death of her cousin Private .J. E. Doyle, in the following message, which was forwarded to her by the Rev. Father Dowling, of Ulverstone: — 'Officially reported died of pneumonia at Gheziroh, March 2, 1916, previously reported dangerously ill. Private J. E. Doyle, 12th Battalion, 9th Reinforcements. Please convey the deepest regret and sympathy of Their Majesties the King and Queen and Commonwealth Government, also the District Commandant in tho loss sustained by them and by the Army
