Dunstan, George Henry
Born 22nd July 1892 Lefroy Tasmania the son of George Alfred and Ellen Dunstan (nee Cocking) married to Ivy Doris Martin a Methodist Home Missionary he embarked Sydney 14th June 1917 on board “HMAT Hororata” with the 12th Infantry Battalion. He was killed in action 17th April 1918 in France and is commemorated in the Borre British Cemetery, Hazebrouck, Nord, France. Mrs. E. Dunstan of 105 George Street Launceston has received the sad news that her son Sergeant-Major George Henry Dunstan was killed in action on April 17, 1918. He left Tasmania about 12 months ago with the 25th Reinforcements of the 12th Battalion. Previous to enlisting he was engaged in home mission work, having received his appointment to Tullah at the age of 22 years where he remained for two years. He was latterly stationed in the Methodist circuit at Strahan. The Examiner 15th May 1918
