Eagling, Archie

 

 

 

Born 1892 Beulah Tasmania the son of George Edward and Alice Marion Eagling (nee Austin) a farm labourer he embarked Melbourne 10th October 1915 on board “HMAT Ascanius” with the 12th Infantry Battalion.

 

He was serving with the 52nd Battalion when he was killed in action 6th July 1916 in France and is commemorated in he Rue-Petillon Military Cemetery, Fleurbaix, Bethune, Franc.
