A cross marking the graves of two Australian soldiers, both members of the 3rd Field Ambulance, who were killed in action on the Gallipoli Peninsula on 25 April 1915. Both enlisted in Launceston, Tasmania. They are 221 Private Alfred Frederick Eccles, a native of Liverpool, England; and 229 Private Frank Hudson
