Edwards Albert Gordon

 

Born 8th February 1890 Ringarooma Tasmania to George and Ann Caroline Edwards (nee Crichton) a farm assistant who departed Brisbane 24th May 1915 on board “HMAT Ascanius” with the 26th Infantry Battalion.

 He was serving with the 7th Australian Machine Gun Corps in France when he was admitted to the 4th General Hospital Camiers 10th August 1916 with gunshot wounds to the thigh and hand.  He died the same day and was buried in the Etaples Military Cemetery, France.
