Edwards, Bertram George

 

Born 1892 Launceston Tasmania the son of George and Agnes Ellen Edwards (nee McConnon) a farm hand he embarked Hobart 1st July 1916 on board “HMAT Berrima” with the 40th Infantry Battalion.

Lance Corporal Edwards was mortally wounded in the Morlancourt Sector with a gunshot wound to the head and died 12th April 1918 in the 12th General Hospital. He was buried in the St Sever Cemetery Extension, Rouen, France.
