KILLED IN ACTION.

Mr. J. W. Elliott of Forth received the sad news on Thursday evening that Dale, his eldest son had been killed in France. Dale enlisted in June of last year, and served for some time at the Dardanelles; he was then invalided to Malta, and transferred to France. A few days back letters were received telling of his doings in France. The sympathy of the district is extended to Mr. Elliott and family.
