Elliss, Baizel Dudley

Born 8^th August 1895 Glenorchy Tasmania to Arthur Henry and Isabel Elliss (nee Dowsing) an orchardist who embarked Hobart 20^th October 1914 on board “HMAT Geelong” with the 12^th Infantry Battalion.

He died 16^th June 1915 from a gunshot wound to the stomach aboard the hospital ship “Gascon” and was buried at sea three miles off Gaba Tepe Gallipoli by Chaplain Lee Warner. He is commemorated on the Lone Pine Memorial, Gallipoli, Turkey.
