Elliss, Baizel Dudley
Born 8th August 1895 Glenorchy Tasmania to Arthur Henry and Isabel Elliss (nee Dowsing) an orchardist who embarked Hobart 20th October 1914 on board “HMAT Geelong” with the 12th Infantry Battalion. He died 16th June 1915 from a gunshot wound to the stomach aboard the hospital ship “Gascon” and was buried at sea three miles off Gaba Tepe Gallipoli by Chaplain Lee Warner. He is commemorated on the Lone Pine Memorial, Gallipoli, Turkey.
