Eppingstall, George Reginald

 

Born 20th March 1889 Swansea Tasmania the son of George and Rachel Eppingstall (nee Roberts) a labourer he embarked Melbourne 27th September 1915 on board “HMAT Hororata” with the 26th Infantry Battalion.

 

His brother Herbert Douglas Eppingstall who enlisted four days later embarked at the same time.

 

Lance Sergeant Eppingstall died 5th October 1917 in Belgium from wounds received in the field and is commemorated in the Potijze Chateau Grounds Cemetery, Ypres, West-Vlaanderen, Flanders, Belgium.
