Espie William Campbell

 

 

Born 1879 Brighton the son of John Edward and Annie Espie (nee Brock) a 35 year old bushman working in New Zealand when he enlisted;.  He served with the Otago Mounted Rifles and was killed in action 12th October 1917 Belgium (previously reported missing). 

He was awarded the Military Medal and the Bar to Military Medal for acts of gallantry in the field.
