Evans, Alfred George

Born 15^th May 1891 Smithton Tasmania a labourer the son of George Alfred and Kate Evans (nee Finnerty) he embarked Adelaide 1^st April 1915 on board “HMAT Port Lincoln” with the 12^th Infantry Battalion.

He was killed in action 19^th August 1916 in France and is commemorated on the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial, Villers-Bretonneux, Picardie, France
