EVANS, HENRY
Portrait of 383 Private (Pte) Henry Evans, 12th Battalion. A labourer from Westbury, Tas prior to enlistment, Pte Evans embarked with C Company from Hobart on HMAT Geelong on 20 October 1914. After initially being reported as missing, a Court of Enquiry later determined that he was killed during the Gallipoli landing on 25 April 1915. He is commemorated on the Lone Pine Memorial.
