Fannon, Clyde

 

Born 1887 Devonport Tasmania the son of Michael and Isabella Fannon (nee Graham) a labourer he embarked Brisbane 29th June 1915 on board “HMAT Aeneas” with the 26th Infantry Battalion. 

He died 26th January 1919 at the 40th Stationary Hospital France from broncho pneumonia and was buried in the Ste Marie Cemetery, Le Havre, Seine Maritime, France.

Mrs. M. A. Graham, of Gunn Street, Devonport, received a telegram on Wednesday stating that her nephew Pte. Clyde Fannon died in England on January 26. Pte Fannon enlisted at Devonport four years ago and served in the Gallipoli campaign and also in Egypt, Belgium, and France.
