Ferrar, Michael Edward
Born 25th September 1895 Oatlands Tasmania the son of William Moore and Emily Harriet Ferrar (nee Nichols) a sheep farmer from Swansea Tasmania he enlisted Claremont Tasmania and embarked Melbourne 29th January 1915 on board “HMAT Mashobra” with the 3rd Light Horse Regiment.
He returned to Australia 11th March 1916 on board HS Suevic having been diagnosed with pulmonary tuberculosis and was discharged 2nd February 1917.
He died 25th August 1919 Military Hospital Caulfield from pneumonia and was buried in the Brighton General Cemetery, Brighton, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia
