Ferrar, Michael Edward

Born 25^th September 1895 Oatlands Tasmania the son of William Moore and Emily Harriet Ferrar (nee Nichols) a sheep farmer from Swansea Tasmania he enlisted Claremont Tasmania and embarked Melbourne 29^th January 1915 on board “HMAT Mashobra” with the 3^rd Light Horse Regiment.

He returned to Australia 11^th March 1916 on board HS Suevic having been diagnosed with pulmonary tuberculosis and was discharged 2^nd February 1917.

He died 25^th August 1919 Military Hospital Caulfield from pneumonia and was buried in the Brighton General Cemetery, Brighton, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia
