Figgis, Charles Thomas
Born 1895 St Leonards Tasmana the son of William John Holmes and Elizabeth Alice Figgis (nee Manser) a carpenter he embarked Brisbane 29th June 1915 on board “HMAT Aeneas” with the 26th Infantry Battalion He served at Gallipoli and was killed in action 20th June 1916 at Messines Belgium when he received a bullet to the head and is commemorated in the La Plus Douve Farm Cemetery, Belgium.
