On August 26th the reverend C H Corvan of Latrobe had the painful duty of breaking the news to Mrs A H Fisher that her husband Corporal A H Fisher had been killed in action at the Dardanelles on August 7th.  The greatest sympathy has been expressed on every hand for Mrs Fisher in her trouble.  She is left with two little children.  Corporal Fisher who was a clerk in the Bank of Australasia enlisted at Latrobe and was a member of the first expeditionary force.  He was in the first landing of the Australian troops at the Dardanelles on April 25th.  He was wounded in the neck some time ago but sufficiently recovered to again enter the fighting line.  He was the son of Mr W Fisher of the West Coast.
