Fisher, John Albert
Born 1890 Launceston Tasmania the son of John and Margaret Elizabeth Fisher (nee Summers) of Cape Barren Island, a seaman he embarked Melbourne 21st October 1916 on board “HMAT Port Melbourne” with the 40th Infantry Battalion. He died 13th October 1917 in Belgium from wounds received in the field and was buried in the Potijze Chateau Grounds Cemetery, Belgium.
