Flanagan, John Edward
Born 4th June 1893 Hobart Tasmania to John Matthew and Elizabeth Flanagan (nee Burns) a carpenter who embarked Melbourne 9th November 1917 on board “HMAT Port Sydney” with the Field Artillery Brigade He was killed in action 24th April 1918 when a shell fell on a gun team killing all four members including Gunner Flanagan. He was buried in the Bonnay Communal Cemetery Extension, France.
