Flanders, William Edward
Born 1887 Deloraine Tasmania the son of William Hedley and Annie Laura Flanders (nee Martin) was a recruit at Claremont camp when he was transferred from the field hospital Claremont to the Hobart General Hospital on the 17th October 1916 suffering from a self inflicted wound to the throat and acute bronchitis. He died the next day. FLANDERS.— On October 18, at Hobart General Hospital, Private William Edward Flanders, aged .29 years, eldest eon of W. H. and A Flanders, of Sisters Creek. Greatly loved and deeply mourned. At rest.
