Flemming John William Whisker
Born 22nd October 1884 Don the son of Robert and Mary Anne Flemming (nee Whisker) a 30 year old engine driver he embarked with the 40th Battalion later transferring to the 51st. He was killed in action 2nd May 1917 at Passchendaele and is commemorated in the H.A.C. Cemetery, (Special Memorial B. I), Ecoust-St. Mein, France, His brother Private Alfred Claude Matthew Fleming, 40th Battalion, A Company,died of wounds 17 November 1917.
