Fox, Thomas John
Born 5th March 1889 New Town Tasmania to Thomas and Bridget Fox (nee Griffen) a blacksmith who departed Melbourne 30th September 1916 on board “HMAT Palermo” with the 12th Infantry Battalion.
He was wounded and admitted to the 2nd Australian Field Ambulance suffering from shell wounds to both thighs which were fractured and damage to one leg and an eye. He died at the main dressing station Marquaix on the 20th September 1918. He was buried in the Tincourt New British Cemetery, France.
