Frost Hubert Oscar

 

 

Born 16th April 1897 Westbury Tasmania to George Harold and Margaret Mary Frost (nee Makr) a motor mechanic who departed Melbourne 5th January 1916 on board “HMAT Afric” with the 26th Infantry Battalion.

 He died from a gunshot wound to the abdomen 30th August 1918 and was buried Daours Communal Cemetery Extension, France.

 

Mrs M Frost of 4 Dry Street Inveresk has received intimation of the death of her son Private H O Frost who died in France on August 13th as a result of gunshot wounds in the abdomen.  Private Frost who was in pre war days employed at Heathorn’s Garage left Tasmania three years and nine months ago with the 26th Battalion and was only three months over 21 years of age when he made the supreme sacrifice.
