Gadd, Lambert Victor

Born 1892 Richmond Tasmania the son of William John and Margaret Maria Gadd (nee Mansfield) a labourer he embarked Melbourne 5th January 1916 on board “HMAT Afric” with the 26th Infantry Battalion.

 

He was killed in action 5th November 1916 at Fleurs in France and is commemorated on the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial, Villers-Bretonneux, Picardie, France

 

GADD.-On November 5, 1916, killed in action somewhere in France, Lambert Victor, dearly loved fourth son of the late William and Margaret Gadd, loving brother of the late Albert (Mount Lyell hero), Mrs. Teige, William, Gilbert, Claud (on active service) Mrs. Holdcroft and William (on active service), also loving brother of Mrs. Dodge, 454 Macquarie-street, aged 24 years. Loved by all who knew him
